The Semmelweisklinik depends on renting out its event spaces, because the income from studios alone does not cover the overall running costs of the building. So it matters to us that additional bookings happen and work out.
BUT
when rooms aren't rented out, they're of no use to anyone standing empty — so let's use them. Free of charge. No effort, no cost.
Conditions
- Rooms can be reserved no more than 1 week in advance
- No public events(a contract is required for legal reasons)
- No changes to the spaces(everything set up must be dismantled immediately after use)
- Mind the noise level!
- No high-draw appliances (> 1,000 W)
How it works in practice :: Step-by-step guide
- Check the calendar to see if the room you want is free at the time you want. If so, make a reservation:

- Description = your phone number + anything else you want to add
- Time – please uncheck "all day" and enter specific times
- Sub-calendar = choose the room
Note: The following rooms are acoustically connected and require extra attention — they cannot be used at the same time:
- Waschküche + UG West
- UG West / Bandland + Bewegungsraum
- Bewegungsraum + Bar
- Check again the day before to see if something has been booked in the meantime. Paid bookings (shown as Busy) always take priority — the booking team works in a separate calendar and does not see entries made here.
- Leave the room clean! At least as clean as you found it — ideally cleaner. Cleaning supplies can be found in the east and central wing near the toilets, and in the west in the new cloakroom (next to the 2 older WCs). Give back to the space!
- Donations: If you are able to, or if external guests are using the room with you, please drop something in the donation box. We will place one in every room. If you don't see one yet, feel free to put one in!
The UG West can only be used after a technical induction. Induction dates are announced in the Telegram info channel.
If your use of the space causes extra work for the house (e.g. the room is not left empty or clean) and someone else has to do that work on your behalf, it will be charged according to Fairpay guidelines.
